In 1886, Fredrick Fox, Sr., founded a one-office Real Estate Brokerage in Center City Philadelphia. Soon realizing his buyers needed a convenient way to purchase homeowners insurance, he added an Insurance Agency in 1906.

His son, Frederick S. Fox Jr., foreseeing the growth of the suburban counties surrounding Philadelphia, opened a brokerage in Haddonfield, New Jersey. His prediction of vast development in Camden County and, later, in Burlington County, New Jersey was correct and his business grew with that expansion. What is now Trident Insurance Agency grew alongside.

After a string of mergers and acquisitions over the years, the present company of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Fox & Roach, Realtors, together with Trident Insurance Agency, has grown into the dominant market leader throughout Southeastern Pennsylvania, the Lehigh Valley, Central and Southern New Jersey, and New Castle County Delaware.

From our  truly humble beginnings, Trident Insurance Agency has grown to become one of the largest independently owned agencies in the U.S., and we continue to embrace our founder’s dedication to service, professionalism and integrity.
